After Curtis woke up from his long nap I took the boys out to the backyard to play and have some fun. Curtis saw me carrying out some wiffle balls and so he asked for them by saying, "Balls." It was cute and I was proud that he was able to do that without any coaching.
Xander is getting a lot closer to Dolly, it is going to be so hard now to give her up. Here he is trying to play fetch with her.
Xander and I have been working on T-ball lately. Apparently he got bored with it.
Here Curtis is trying to pet the dog. This is such an improvement. He used to cry any time the dog touched him. He is really starting to get attached to her. It helps that she has finally learned to control her puppy craziness and be gentle with the children. She has started watching over the boys and has become very protective of them.
Since I have to go back to work tomorrow and we won't have the dog for much longer I decided to make the most of this day. We went to the dog park to fly a kite and run around a bit. Xander threw his plane in the lake, which was tricky to get back, luckily I didn't fall in. Dolly chased ducks around and had a good time.
The boys got baths when we got home. Xander had a nasty surprise though, a tick the size of a dime was hiding behind his ear. Luckily we got it removed before it could latch on. An exciting way to conclude an epic Spring Break. Final week at Treadwell here I come!
Happy Easter everyone.
