Everything's Bigger in Texas

We lived in Pinon, Arizona for five years.  When we came here to Memphis we had the intention of living here for another five to ten years.  As you can see by these pictures of Dallas, that will no longer be the case.  Pamela's job in Memphis did not work out the way we had hoped.

I had been praying and felt good about Texas.  I did not share these feelings with my family.  I came home and Pamela told me that she had found a job fair in Dallas, Texas.  I told her to go.  She went and came home with a job.  These photos are from early January when we went to Dallas to drop her off.  I was going to remain in Memphis for the remainder of the school year.

A hawk perches on top of the Dallas temple.

We were able to pay Mommy a visit for Xander's birthday!  It was so nice for the boys to see Pamela after so many weeks apart!

Unfortunately the new job did not work out either.  Pamela was stuck in Texas without a job and I was left with Jane and the boys wondering what I was going to do.  Pamela was lucky enough to get a new job in Corsicana, Texas.  She is enjoying herself being a Fine Arts Teacher at Carroll Elementary.  I was lucky enough to get a job at Corsicana High School.  Originally I was going to hold the fort here in Memphis but being separated has taken a toll on our little family.  I resigned from my current job at Treadwell Elementary and I will be moving to Texas soon to join my wife.

Of course this is the city where Pamela found us a house.  I went down there to sign a lease and see her.  This logo is on convenience stores, city hall, and other buildings.

It looks like the Maynard family is going to make another move and its happening soon.  Here we go Lone Star State!
